Airlie Beach - The Gateway to the Whitsundays

Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsundays, acting as the departure point for all overnight Whitsunday sailing trips – a must do on the East Coast!

Airlie Beach can be accessed by bus, car or plane. If you’re short of time then a flight from Brisbane Airport into Proserpine Airport would be most convenient – there are a number of shuttle bus services between Proserpine and Airlie Beach once you arrive. However, if you are in a camper van, or want to catch a bus or train, be sure to plan up to a full days travel (minimum) from Brisbane.
