Whale Watching

If you’re in town between late July and November, do not miss seeing the majestic humpback whales playing in the calm, clear, protected waters between Hervey Bay and Fraser Island. Hervey Bay is the only place along the coast where the whales stop and rest. Get up close and personal on a full or half day tour, with most local tour operators offering a buffet lunch or breakfast.

Skydiving

Get the blood pumping with a tandem skydive. The local operators have some of the cheapest skydives on offer – and you just can’t beat the views of Hervey Bay’s beaches and the free scenic flight over Fraser Island!
