Hervey Bay is located approximately 3.5hrs drive north of Brisbane. It is the gateway to World Heritage Listed Fraser Island and is considered to provide the safest and most scenic access.
If you do not have a vehicle, there are many bus services and flights running daily to the Hervey Bay Transit Centre and Fraser Coast Airport. If a train is more your style, Queensland Rail has services arriving daily to the Maryborough West Railway Station with connecting shuttle buses to Hervey Bay (a 30 minute drive).
