Local charges are incurred by third parties as part of Beaches packages. These charges may have to be paid in differing amounts to one or two different locations. This cost includes: a full tank of fuel, National Park Fees, vehicle access fees, comprehensive insurance, roll mats for comfort and ice on the first day. Local charges incurred for any Whitsunday package are due to the sailing company hosting your chosen vessel and include all marine and national park fees required. These charges are subject to change and payable at time of check in. An $8.00 luggage storage fee is payable in Airlie Beach for the optional storage of luggage while sailing in the Whitsundays.

YES! Beaches love taking on backpacker staff and frequently have positions available. All positions are paid and include accommodation and some meals. Please refer to the Working at Beaches page under About Us.

Accommodation cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee equal to one (1) night’s accommodation charge per person cancelled. Fraser Safari cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the retail cost of the Safari Tour per person cancelled. Cancellations made less than 21 days prior to arrival may result in complete forfeiture of some or all of the package components. Beaches Backpackers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Fraser Safari departure subject to unsafe weather conditions or passenger numbers. Cancellations due to unforseen weather conditions will incur a $25.00 administration fee unless rescheduled. Beaches reserve the right to substitute sailing vessels.
